Woolf Sung provides unique access to buy and experience the finest whisky and most exclusive Champagne in the world. Our clients are investors, consumers and the trade – all united with a common desire for the very best and most beautiful products money can buy.
WHAT WE DO
Woolf Sung provides rare access to the finest products in the world. Its service is bespoke to individual requirements but its approach is friendly and fun.
UNIQUE & RARE
Unique & rare are key elements of Woolf Sung’s DNA – our mission is the pursuit of the finest wines, spirits and Champagne in the world; whether that means hunting out the rarest of beasts or creating bespoke whiskies in sublime packaging, or providing access to exclusive products… this is Woolf Sung’s raison d’etre.
BOERL & KROFF
Boërl & Kroff Champagne has been tasted only by a privileged few. Boërl & Kroff cuvees are recognised by experts as sui generis and as one of the best Champagnes ever produced. It is bottled only in magnums or larger and, in congruence with its quality, is the most expensive Champagne in the world.
Boërl & Kroff Champagne bottles are made only of white flint glass. Stoppers are made of five pieces and solely of natural cork for long ageing. The stopper may be confined by a wire-cap and numbered plate, made of solid eighteen-carat gold and engraved by a prestigious French jeweller. The casket can be made of lacquered black solid wood and the inner lining of alcantara.
Thus, Boërl & Kroff Champagne is opulently packaged to reflect its singular exclusivity, and delivered globally to discriminating customers in search of rare and matchless wines.
DAVID NICHOLSON 1843 STRAIGHT BOURBON
1843 Straight Bourbon
Kentucky Straight Bourbon
High Wheat Mashbill
First produced by grocer David Nicholson in 1843, most notably linked with the legendary Julian ‘Pappy’ Van Winkle who began distilling the whiskey at the fabled Stitzel Distillery. Purchased by Luxco in 2000 they have since added a Reserve brand
to the range.
A double-gold winning whiskey at the 2017 and 2015 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, 1843 has a high wheat mash bill, similarly to the likes of W L Weller. Made in small quantities the 1843 is a must have wheated Bourbon.
Nose – Heaps honey and butter with hints of vanilla and charred oak.
Palate – Exceptionally smooth complex with vanilla, honey and spicy oak, the finish is warm and spicy but almost sweet.
BOWER HILL BOURBON
Named for the Battle of Bower Hill during the 1794 Whiskey Rebellion, bottled by the Bower Hill Distilling Co and aged in Louisville the company selects only the best casks to go into this fantastically presented Whiskey.
The only rye in the Bower Hill range, like much of the range the rye is only made in small batches, each having their own slight nuances making each batch a must try.
Nose – Enticing oranges and leather when undiluted, turning more fruit led on adding a drop of water.
Palate – A perfect example of a rye whiskey, spicy cinnamon and toffee apples. Fresh oak and rich caramel.
Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Created by John Rempe, he spent over 17 years developing products such as the world renowned Rebel Yell, he has now created perhaps his greatest brand Blood Oath.
A masterful union of well bred bourbons. One with a rye mash bill. Two wheated bourbon to soften the edges, yet intensify the flavour. And three, a port-barrel finished rye. An arranged marriage of the rich, rare and unexpected, for you to have, hold and hide.
Nose – Toasted oak, caramel & maple syrup with vanilla, cocoa, tobacco leaf and dried fruits.
Palate – Slightly sweet & spicy with a velvety smooth finish. Smooth, long and dry with a touch of spice and fruit.
